    Its a distraction from the economic stuff that is hitting that demographic even harder. Every time we get to a point where everyone is on the same page, these social issues keep popping up to distract from the lede.

    Its likely already difficult enough for trans folks to access housing, irs basically impossible for a cis-gender person who doesn’t have substantial resources or to be already well-placed and grandfathered in.

    Downvote if you like but this happens every time Canadians start getting wise to what is going on. Bring on the identity politics, no cuts to immigration, no more (affordable) housing units, nope. Canadians just need to learn to share more and have less for themselves for the sake of global cosmopolitanism

    Let’s deal with housing so everybody can be more equitable. Equality doesn’t mean jack if you can’t find a place to live.
