You should get a diffuser strip with an aluminium channel to dissipate heat
It’ll make the light less harsh and soften it
I was looking into doing that, but I haven’t found one that would stick to the shelf very well

Edit: I found them, and they are cheap! They are referred to as 3d wall panels in a diamond design.
Yes! I think I got them on Amazon maybe? They’re stuck to the wall with double sided tape, although I’m sure there’s a better way to do it that’s not that.
