While traveling across a barren landscape, caveman Yor arrives at a village in time to save the people from a dinosaur attack. During a feast held in his honor, Yor manages to rescue beautiful Ka-Laa and her guardian, Pag from a raid by a hostile neighboring tribe. After being told about another woman who wears the same mysterious medallion he has always had, Yor and his new companions set out to find her and learn about his destiny.
This is one of the greatest C-grade movies ever made, even better than Deathstalker (it’s close). Almost as good as Zardoz.
Only got 50% of the way through the trailer… before hitting search, because this looks awesome 😎
Yours was the rec that convinced me to skip the tour tonight and watch it. I’m now a fan! Many thanks.
This movie is basically Yor visiting different civilizations and all of them getting wiped out. Yor solves everything with violence. At one point he rides a dead pterodactyl or something as a hangglider and dropkicks a caveman. This movie rules.
Dude! I just watched this and, quite literally, yelled to no one but myself, “come on!”
That jumped the shark a bit. But, then it jumps more sharks later.
I’m now a fan! 🥰
It goes on for so long you forget the “of the future” part and suddenly there are space ships and lasers.
Reb Brown should have been a bigger star. I seem to recall a Captain America TV show where he played the main character but also drove a conversion van with shag carpeting. It was the 1970s after all.
He actually threw the shield like a frisbee. No fake ass effects or any of that shit. Bad guys sold that shit like it was a brick.
This sounds like a book I read in school where a guy got transported to the “past” became a member of a tribe and eventually adapted to his new life with a family. Then he gets taken back to the “future” and it turns out he was actually taken to the future where society collapsed because of some kind of disease.
I think about it regularly but can’t remember the name
Worth it for the theme song alone.
Sexist bullshit movie.
Fair.
