Are you saying that because this lake is near an airport or some physical characteristic of the appearance of the forms in the photo? It’s not obvious to me so I’m not sure why you’re saying it like that.

Sorry, is it the “…” that made me sound unpleasant? That wasn’t the intention.

But to answer the question, there’s both the Geneva and Lausanne airports next to the lake, and I’m indeed just using my experience as a photographer/filmmaker with years of chasing sunsets to make an educated guess about it, they’re all just very thin lines parallel to each other and I’ve never seen natural clouds like this, only plane trails.

It’s okay, but yes that’s what I was talking about, not necessarily unpleasant more so that it is assumed knowledge, was the vibe I got. Yeah that makes sense, I hadn’t either so I was very curious. Either way it’s very much a beautiful image and effect.

Is there anywhere in Switzerland that isn’t photogenic? Seriously; I’ve never seen a bad photo of Switzerland.

mfw the Gold Standard is set so high that even “not as good” is still spectacular.

          Yeah

I don’t find the first picture particularly appealing but the second one is magnificent

Yeah CH definitely does have normal looking parts. For a place where you can literally point the camera anywhere and have first class landscapes in front of the lens, Iceland is where it’s at.

I actually noticed the sunset a day before while on the road, so i remembered the time and went there an hour early next day, had an ice cream and waited for the sun to set. Taking pictures took about 10 min.

…the amount of …jeeez…this is a gorgeous, soul-inspiring photo…a tree, in a lake, with a mountainous background…at sunset…may all the inspired events of life bless you forevermore!

I find this to be a quite excellent picture
